I love my 9R pro but….

Would love a bit more ski lift and playfulness. I don’t need to go full khaos at this moment, but just curious if there are some adjustments on the pro suspension to have a little bit more ski lift and playfulness.? Do I start on the front or the rear shock? The limiter strap does not seem to have any adjustments.
thank you for your time

If you have a 2.75 inch track, a 3” (300lx or doo) or the 3.25” make a big difference. My 24’ 9R is ridiculously snappy on/off throttle and pulls the front with ease whenever I want. TRS full p-85 clutching, Maptune 9R tune, 300lx track and TRS valves monotubes.
I agree on the track. I liked the float/lift of the 2.75 for the sugary baseless snow we had most of last year, but the fun factor of the sled was a little disappointing. Swapped in the Lynx/Doo Freeride 3" track this year and I have a new love for it. Mine is a 165" Khaos, and I've even turned up the RTS a bit because I kept bottoming out when creek hopping.

You could drill new holes or get Khaos straps and there is even a way of dropping the front track hole lower. I went from a 165 2.75 Khaos (felt planted) to a 155 3.25 and it is indeed what you want.
Not an all too wild.

I have a 2024 9R Pro 155 with the 3.25 track & removed the Velocity's right away. Replaced with Fox/ Burandt QS3's so I can adjust for more play fullness or have the lock out which really makes the Pro a weapon. I love the setup & do not see myself ever going the Khaos route.

In 2024 and newer with the rails being the same, if guys like you and me change our shocks to Fox, the Khaos/Pro are only different from the limiter strap length. Very easy changes to make.

Big adjustability via air pressure in the air shocks. There is also a switch for the three settings including lockout on the rear track shock, and three settings on the front shocks. I rarely adjust my fronts, but do on the rear frequently between position 2 and 3.

With the rails now common does that mean the Khaos is a bit less and the Pro is a bit more? ("Playful")?
I hope that isn't a step back for the Khaos.

I keep dreaming of an electronically adjustable on-the-fly limit strap system with a 12v linear actuator and a trim switch by the brake. Similar to an aircraft (or outboard motor) trim switch. That would be sweeet. Adjust the nose with the flick of a thumb

Does anything stop a guy from using the Ski-Doo remote adjustable limiter strap? They have one that is adjustable from the handlebars:

Likely will need some modifications due to tunnel width and front torque arm differences.

A lot cheaper than the shift on the bars fox shocks.

Another product that is intended to accomplish this is the Skinz ARC. I have one and it doesn’t really have as much of an effect as what you’re looking for though. Probably going to try a different remote lockout shock with it, hopefully have a more dramatic difference between locked and unlocked.

It would take some significant modification to put the doo adjustable limiter strap on the Polaris. More than the average guy could do.
