I guess I am the test dummy. Broke a "377" belt clean in two sat at Gold Creek

I should have taken pics of it, but it broke clean in one spot. Ripped all the chords out in one bundle.
Funny how they (BRP) said they would stand behind the "composite" belt, yet they wont warr it now...????

over 500km on mine. now its pulling a cord, my dealer told me to bring it in, that they would warranty it.

I blew a 377 into pieces the other ride. I put on my spare 166 and started pulling acord. The dealer gave me 2 new 377's.

Sorry to hear that, your dealer blows... no punn intended, I have 550 mile on my 377 after blowing (9) 166s in the first 200 miles

not quite sure why the dealer that warrantied the 2 belts, blows.
But hey what do i know.

I trashed a 377 belt the other day (operator error).. came down a big chute and was worried I would over shoot and land in trees.. did the reverse power thing and got carrried away with the throttle and got everythng so friggin hot I melted a chunk out of the 377 belt.. ruined the belt..but it did not fray or break.. Main thing on belts (as I discovered) is alignment..

Sounds like you need a new dealer. As plumnuts has said, alignment is key on these sleds. A good dealer should have aligned, and welded sway bar back in Jan. and you wouldn't be having this issue....

2nd 377 belt has blown up in the Xp. Looks like a friggin' cotton candy machine. Dealer has told me alignment is good, ant it must be the way I ride. I thought this was a mountain sled, I should not blow a belt every time it snows more than 2 feet. Very disapointed with the belt life on this new sled, would think twice about an 09 until this issue is adressed.

Alignment may in spec according to "BRP'S Specs" but they are far from correct.

Try my shim kit, you won't be sorry. Inexpensive and it WORKS.
