I found IndyDan's TEAM clutch thread!!

You should see if you can find mountainhorse's post on the mandatory 900 mods that was done ~ a year ago now I guess.
 
couple pages into it now. What a great read. I do remember snapping belts in half on my team equiped 800 RMK mod. Kinda all makes sense now.
 
dam what happened to the rest of the thread? Seems like a wealth of knowledge to be waisted.

Well where's indy dan on this one??

I have a few more questions for the man. I would like to see some proof that the 44 degree helix has any less belt snapping problems than a 38 degree helix. If were are only talking about a split second that the clutch are both closing one the belt, This is my second ride with a team and but have been around them for years, everyone else has one their rides. I made the switch because they are buying far less belts in one riding season than me. I have talked smack about this clutch for years, how can such a large helix tranfer the torque like a small one can. I just dont get it, so I expect to eat some crow. We and I mean a dozen guys in our group couldnt pull a 44 on the big hills if our lives depended on it. 44 degrees is a pro x track racing or trail riding helix. How would you try and accomplish running a 44 degree helix, you have to remove so much primary weight just to get your rpms. And would you have to lower your primary spring finish rate alot too?? guess I would like to learn here is there really is some truth to it.
