I FEEL INSULTED !!!!

This first year of the PRO-RMK $1000 deal is pretty good...for sure.

If you can get a new sled each year for only $1700 more than your trade in... dealers would have lines at the door.

Came from the dealer today and got some numbers. Trading my 2011 Pro RMK 800 155 turbo silver on a 2012 Pro RMK 800 155 orange. 3100 for a 2 year warranty and 600 in PGA. Then if I opt out of the PGA they will take another 450 off the price of the sled, so 2700 to boot with a 2 year and no gear. Tell me if Im out of line for being upset, if it was under 2g I would have pulled the trigger but this seems like BS. (1000 miles on the sled and would be my 8th new one from the same dealer) Anyone else get some numbers on trading a Pro on a Pro.

It is right on? what did you expect? Go buy anything new and thats what happens. You always loose 3,000 the first year and 1,500 the second. Seems like they are right on the money?

Everyone thinks their used sled is worth so much. You want a new 2012 instead of your 2011. Well most people willing to drop $9000 or so would probably spend the extra to get the 2012 as well.

100 % correct !! Actually it would be amazing if you could get a new one every year for a 2000.00 bump...sign me up !!!:D

Sounds like a killer deal at $1700!!! i traded my 09 assault rmk for a 2010 dragon rmk 155 and it cost me $3200 to boot. i just priced out trading my 2010 in on a new pro 155 and they quoted me $5200 to boot to snocheck. OUCH!! like they said above though, the first year is the worst and the second year is a little less kicking. since i have another year of warranty on mine, i'm gonna wait and see how bad the third year stings!!:face-icon-small-sho

If you don't like the drade in numbers, just sell the sled outright. I'll bet you have trouble getting much more from a private buyer, then you'll know what the dealers are up against trying to sell your sled....PLUS they have to make a profit to pay the bills!

Seriously dude....I would sign a 5 year contract on that ****.

$2g a year to always ride the newest tec and graphics (lol), always be within full warranty, and erase all of your mileage and war wounds every year? Damn that would be just fine with me.

If I could trade for under $2000 every year I would be all over it. It would be a lot cheaper than the way I have been doing it. I still have every new sled I have ever bought, and I would have more room in the shop.:D

Ride it 3 years, that third year is usually about free. That's what I do anyway.

Yep. You are right. On a good model (not the 900 confusion). Take it through year four, and you can get wiped out, once failures start to accumulate, unless you get parts cheap.

$2k per year is about as good as we can do nowadays.

So the new 2012 is $400 more than last year, dealer quoted $3100. The PG&A is re-paid to the dealer at $450, you take the cash off or the PG&A simple decision. Lets just say minimum first year depreciaton 20% ($2320) which puts your retail value of a sled that sold for $11599 at $9280 in a perfect world. MSRP for a snow check Pro RMK 155 is $11999 less $9280 = $2719. Looks like the dealer is dead on after the $450 off.
Lets take a poll, what would you pay for a 2011 Pro RMK 800 155 turbo silver with a little over 1000 miles?

I know its a different sled but you can get left over 2011 skidoo's new with warranty for $8300 (not etec but it is brand new) so why would you buy a used pro with 1000 miles on it for 9000 when you can get a new 12 for another 1500, buyer wants a new one like you. Best thing to do is buy brand new current sled after Jan 1st prices usually drop 2g then runn it two years and get another new one after jan 1st. Or if you have to have the newest thing every year than you got to pay for it. You drive a brand new diesel pickup off of the lot and and it is about 10000 less even if it only has 5000 miles on it. Worst loss is the first year.

Alot of reasoning, what do you do for a living?

Guess I made out well just sold my 11' pro 155 for 10g with 1800 miles! It was put back to stock so I got the extra's for my 12' assualt. I didn't know of any 1000. dollar trade in offer but I also live in N.Y. and the dealer won't accept rmk's for trade in.

whats the advantage to trade a 2011 to a 2012? I love my 2011 RMK....for $2700 or even $1700 to trade up I could put that into some mods on my 11 and kick the 2012s butt.
