I don't get it???

that is truly sad. dad must of been a real low life pos, but i don't know about murder.

I couldnt imagine being in his position. Loosing a kid and being charged for murder for it. Its got to be hard enough to have your daughter die let alone that on top of it. Nothing our justice system can dish out is going to cause as much pain and suffering as what he will be putting on himself for making a bad decision jail might keep him from suicide though.

It is the most important & pressing responsibility to care for another human life.
Particularly, one that is 100% relying on you (child, invalid, special needs etc).

The sad fact is, many simply are not up to the task.

That little girl is now held in the mightiest arms of all......God's arms.
No harm shall ever fall upon her again.

Well said ^^^^^!

The fact that after he got the car unstuck and instead of looking for the kids, just headed home has a lot to do with it in my opinion. He was only stuck for 1 1/2 hours and so how far did he think the kids were going to get. Didn't go look or even call their mom when he got back home. It will probably get plea bargained down to manslaughter.

Unless there is more to the story than I am understanding.....
There was no malicious intent.
This won't sound popular, but if you can get off for temporary insanity (which
is usually a crock)
then why can't you get off for temporary stupidity? (which seems genuine in this case)

We need to stop allowing the lowest common denominators to continue their multiplication.

In the coming years the weight and mass of all the people who have no common sense what-so-ever will collapse the standards upon which our society is built and the rest of us who have some common sense will be drawn into the chasm with them and that guy will be at the top of the pile.

absolutely terrible situation. mafesto couldn't have put it any better in his first post. the problem i have with this guy is that he let his children out of the truck in that kind of weather in the first place and then didn't call or go looking for them after his truck was unstuck. seriously-wtf? we got hit with the same storm here in idaho falls and i wouldn't let my daughter out of the house without my supervision that day. it truly is a horrible tragedy but one that could have easily been prevented with just a little common sense. that poor girl was under his care and was his responsibility--unfortunatley she has now passed on due to his actions. charges seem fitting to me.

Completely agree here. Our news reported this with a picture of the man. Not to stereotype, but he looked like a man who likes to drink and it would explain why the bad decision making and no contact with anyone until the next day. As well as getting stuck in the first place.

Alcohol involved??????

Read this story this morning, cant stop thinking about it.

Who lets their kids out of a stuck vehicle in a snow storm?
Who sends their young kids on an unsupervised 10+ mile walk in a snow storm?
Who then doesnt inform the mother that the kids will be walking in a snow storm on christmas to her house?
Who doesnt go pick up the kids after the truck is unstuck?
Who doesnt call to make sure the kids made it?

This POS killed that girl himself and is lucky he didnt kill the son too. I hope he suffers long and hard and any punishment he receives is not enough.

Somehow, if the same scenario was a woman instead of a man I doubt that she would be charged with anything. In fact, I believe that is just what happened last year when it suddenly became popular to cook your kids in the car during hot weather.
