I am now a yamaha man

dont waste your money on light wieght if yoiur going to turbo the girl. Mines pretty stock other then a new track, seat, paint, susp., and looking for skis and maybe a new tunnel! thats all you need for a wicked sled!!! buy the turbo and eat beans all year if you have to. its worth every penny. i waited a year to turbo mine and i wasted a year of riding.:beer;:beer;:beer;:eek::beer;
ps welcome over to the dark side, you'll never look back

Mine is all light weight, and I will say. get a 174'' Cammo ext track, Simmons Gen II's. Lose the seat, skid, and exhaust as a minimum.

A Mountain Mod hood is also a good investment save over 12 pounds , but u'll have to add a PIAA light. I went a season with none, but just realized i need a light.

You guys are on drugs? ------ Barkbusters - MM seat - light Exhaust and a skid if you can afford it. You will never look back.
All the apex turbo guys here started out with stock and add boost and ended up doing all the lightweight stuff asap.

The difference is dramatic Don't go cheap on shocks get Floats revalved if you use them, they work best with the swaybar in . Ohlins work great but weigh more.

Once you loose the weight there is no need to go bigger on the track,in fact the 15" wide challenger extreme handles nicer then the 16 wide (my opinion)
and you won't be able to feel the difference in performance.

If you keep her fat and heavy you want all the track you can get .

Almost all good info. My sled has everything, but a tunnel. Although more tunning is needed, I'm not impressed so far with the Fox Floats.

A 174'' track is a must. I'm only running
a SC with 10 pounds of boost, and the 162 x 16 x 2.1/4 is crap in comparisson.

CO Yamaha and I both have identical mod sleds. His is a SCRX and mine an SCApex. Both are 100% mod with a weight diference of less than 20 pounds.

He has the 162 x 16 x 2.5 Cammo ext, only because a 174 would not fit under his Ekholm tunnel.

mine has the 174 x 16 x 2.5 camm ext.

The diference in a climb on the same untracked mountain is unimaginable. We couldn't get a 100% comparison, because my sled would run to the rocks, and force a turn out while the 162 x 16 x 2.5 was impressive and would destroy my ole Maverick, it could was not in the park with the 174.

Why drop all the coin and not get the best thing going.

My .02

You must have missed this part;)

With the 174" track set up almost doesn't mater rider skill becomes less important it will Idle around in deep powder =no fun :face-icon-small-con
It is like driving a big old bus in comparison to a sports car.
The smaller track lightweight turbos are like riding jet skis in powder snow and still handle well in the bums and jumps fun al the way around.:D

By the way how is the big snorkel???
