Must be some U.P. lake affect snow!! I am up there in between trips out west. Backcountry riding in the U.P. is the next best thing to riding out west.

In the summer I have to put the sled in storage, otherwise I would just sit on it and cry wishing I was out carving in some fresh pow.

Without a doubt...and believe it or not we had some great riding in the L.P. this past year. Lake Effect are my favorite two words followed by Lake Effect Snow WARNING!

Ahhhhhhh the 7' of powder from 3 solid days of dumping snow on 12/28/01 in Harbor Springs. Haha 7 miles of ridin & burned 3/4 a tank of gas with lots of sweating

The only things that sucks riding here is the large numbers of riders & trees, Trees screw up some great riding areas

I`m Darren and I am a sledaholic too. I can`t put the sled away when I have too much to do to it . don`t really need too but its cool and fun, my wife says I spend too much time here and on dootalk I feel like I have to check in at least once a day, LOL.

she is wright I know but you learn so much, don`t seem like you can sell crap but all to interesting.

I haven`t spent a whole lot of time in deep powder and of what I did last season I see why its so addictive its like a craving.

this pic is the deepest pow I was in , there was no base it was first ride out last season and out of this area I hit a stump and garbaged the LF suspension and rode it home though and patched it together and had a blast the rest of the season I can`t wait for next year.
