I-90 Down For The Count!!!

Greenwater could e real busy this weekend if they can not keep I-90 opened:mad:

But I guess it is better they close it than try to ride out a avy in the truck with the sleds on it---That would be a real bummer:eek:

We will be lucky to get up there for the weekend at this rate.

Greenwater will be a mess this weekend--get there early if you want a spot in a parking lot--it is closed at the gravel pit lot.

Conditions & Weather:
Snoqualmie Pass remains closed due to extreme winter conditions from milepost 34 near North Bend to milepost 106 near Ellensburg. Due to wet, heavier snow, the avalanche threat remains extreme. Friday, Feb. 1, at 9 a.m. is the earliest WSDOT will be able to assess the effects of this storm and our ability to reopen the pass. WSDOT will continue to update the Web page with the most current information about the conditions on the pass. // Snowing with areas of poor visibility

They might not get it open:(

Go figure, I am trying to get to the coast. WSDOT does not provide much info other that saying "closed". Anyone remember the last time the pass was closed this long?

no luck today..........

Snoqualmie Pass remains closed from milepost 34 near North Bend to milepost 106 near Ellensburg. Extreme winter conditions continue to hit the Cascades and Snoqualmie Pass and avalanche risk is at historical levels. Avalanche control work continues. By 8 p.m. this evening, avalanche experts will be able to evaluate the success of the day’s avalanche control efforts. WSDOT will be able to provide a better assessment of a possible re-opening time.

stevens back open... funny how active the site gets when we get dumped on and pass closes. cross our finger n hope the open 90. otherwise to our cabin in leavenworth we go.

Good news. On the website on cam #3 there are actually snowblowers and plows out there now!

I had not seen any all day and finally we see some clearing going on.

What is the real story behind this? It seems like we can move mountains of dirt for mining, yet we can't move snow?

Come on WSDOT get the front loaders going and dump trucks running. There is a big lake that can be filled with snow if the need to haul it somewhere. Duh!

Do what it takes to get the pass open.

Interchanges and Sno Parks between North Bend and Easton are closed to parking due to avalanche danger in the back country. Due to a power outage at the summit, camera images on the web page are not updating. Images will be enabled when power is restored. // Snowing
