Hunt drawings are hitting the credit cards

Spencer, what the heck, you don't even know the Manti. :)

My buddies have hunted that the past couple of years, we can give you some spots to go scout.

Thanks Dan, I will take what ever help I can get..... I have taken a couple of spikes and a cow down there but that has all been LATE season so and help would be appreciated.....

Yea, that make 2 of us.

But my second choice is the hunt across the border from the Book Cliffs.

2ball drew that last year and had a great hunt.

Just out of Grand Junction? The book cliffs stretch a long ways.

When is Utah's archery season? Ours is the last weekend in August stretching to the last weekend in September. Generally pretty good hunting during the rut if you can find a spot away from other folks. But the sad thing is that they throw muzzy season right in the middle and that pretty much phukkks up the archery season. The muzzy hunters here, the majority of them anyways are typical rifle hunters, just trigger happy fools, taking shots outta range and "movement" shots. I have seen on numerous occasions, muzzy hunters packing two guns with them. Also muzzy season is when the ATV hunters wake up and start road hunting.

Yea... hunters (ALL OF US) don't have enough people bashing our passion .... we should start bashing each other :mad2:

FYI... I have seen and herd of many an archer taking shots in excess of 80 yards.... ethical? :face-icon-small-dis

AND lord knows archers never shoot and lose an animal ..... :nono:

No 80 yard shots here unless I'm goofing off at a range. Never lost an animal yet. I have found a few lost ones from other hunters though.

Nice

Nice heads up on this one! Just found out my kid got a non resident youth elk tag. Now that makes my day and just sent him into a new orbit!!!

Saddly enough, I know a guy that has a 100 yard pin set. He shot a cow elk in the head a few years back @ 100 + - and never recovered it. What a dueshbag! I have told him how unethical that is and he just doesn't get it. He claims he practices that shot all the time. I quit hunting with him over 20 years ago.
Another problem with some guys is they think practice is a waste of time. If you don't practice you shouldn't be allowed to hunt PERIOD!

Congrats to those of you that have drawn! Good luck on your hunts!

How far can you shoot? :smokin::argue::pop2:

LMAO!

Personally, I won't take a shot over 50 yards. Afterall it is an arrow that doesn't weigh much. Anything over 50 penetration power is drastically reduced. I do have 7 pins but I start at 10, go to 40. Then I pin every 5 yards.

You have a 10 yard pin? Why? :noidea:That seams very pointless.

Well we've officially become a LE state!!!:face-icon-small-fro

No over the counter deer tags for archery at all. Utah's hunting system is SCREWED UP!!!
Sounds like you didn't draw one?
