looking to put a can on my 2010 crossfire 800 le, which one does everyone recommend hps or jaws? i dont want to lose performance just lose weight and get an awesome sound. also i am hearing people have problems with the blk/org primary spring, should i get the updated yel/wht?

HPS or Cutler (cpcracing.com)

Both are solid, with hp numbers that are proven. 3hp mid and no loss up top. Cultler is about a hundo less maybe more depends where u buy the HPS can from. HPS can is a dual chamber design and cera coated stock. Cutler is a single chamber design and does not come cera coated, but the cera coating is mostly for bling on a can. Both have a different exhaust tone than stock but the HPS is much louder than the Cutler.

Jawz has been tested and have seen as much as a 6hp loss. :face-icon-small-sho

i guess i also found the bikeman powder lite. i want a can that is noisy but not to lose any hp.

If you are looking for a really loud can buy a snowstuff rumblepack can they are way loud i run one on my polaris no hp loss at all. the welds could look a lil better but it hasnt broke yet after about 700mi

i run jaws on a M8. it is very loud and u can hear them coming a mile away. i rode with a guy that had a jaws on a M6 and it was so loud he started to wear ear plugs.

update to yellow white spring yes, and if u want loud with no hp loss then id go with jaws, $289 at jaws performance website, well worth it, i have one on my 2010 m8 and love it, plus looses alot of weight, gets that suitcase out of your hood thats for sure,:thumb:

I havent learned to work with the weight loss, I think its there for a reason and thats balance, I put a slp can on mine about 4 weeks ago and since then my sled is unbalanced, with no swaybar the right ski stays in the air alot, I believe if arctic cat wanted to build a lightweight can they would have, its not like its secret rocket science, plus the slp is no louder than stock, now if I could just take 10 or 15 lbs off the other side we'd be in business. just my opinion.

how loud is the bmp powder lite can compared to jaws or hps? any power lose with the bmp?

i have a snostuff can. I love the sound it puts out..But i thinks its causing too much back pressure on the pipe and is causing to heat up. Now it is melting my oil jug, power valve cables, throttle cales, hood, and is just slowly melting stuff. I am going to try a Jaws can now for next season

So everyone saying the Jawz/Snowstuff/etc.. has no hp loss MUST have dyno'd their sled with the stock can and then with the aftermarket can??

Highly doubtful. :suspicious:

Do you have the dyno sheets with and without the jaws? I'm curious and would like to see.

you need to heat tape everything remotely close. Better safe than sorry.

everything has the black snake wire protector with a couple layers of heat tape on it..and it was melting it still. i just figured out my oil tank and hood was melting...so thats not heat taped
