Hps fitment

I just installed my hps can for my 09 xp and noticed where the can inlet fits to the pipe there is a quarter in gap on the backside where the spring holds the two together. I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem or is it nothing to worry about.
-Thanks for any help

When I picked up my machine it fit something like this. Doesn't look great, however, I have over 3000 mi. on her with no problems.... knock on wood

You have something wrong there. Mine fits great. I cant even see my exhaust donut. Is that a stock pipe? Did you get a donut from something else? If you have the proper donut it should match the contour of the flange on the male and female end. Check to see if either of them match up.

That does not look like an HPS can to me, actually looks like a Superlite PPP can.

These cans fit nice, I agree with AKslder, check again of pipe is stock, and donut should not be visible.

I have seen a few that don't align perfectly with the pipe, a little wider gap on the inside, but all seem to seal fine.
