I just ordered a new Gen HPS Can ... have heard plenty of people 100% happy with there cans on 16's and move it over to the 17' and have a bog ..

Most have looked to be Pipe and Can combos

Have most tried the Eth setting or Non-Eth

Anybody add the SLP resistor to the pipe sensor to add some fuel

I have been shoping for a can. So far i think i have narrowed it down to Hps vs slp. What are your thoughts?

Go with the HPS just got it on .. way happy compared to SLP

Very easy 60 second install using existing hardware
Great sound and not loud , I can tell it legal !!

First HPS BUT,,.. I've also had SLP , Unit 6 , MBRP , Bikeman

Have not ever had one fall apart inside
Did not feel like it lost power.. in fact it gained 300 RPM
Does not get hot and melt body panels
Does not smash pipe into chassis
Not melting belly pan

I have an AXY with SLP Pipe set and one with HPS can. HPS is definitely louder. I had the bog with my HPS The dealer had me add weight the bog went away but then I would only turn 8000 rpm Indy Dan got me squared away on the rpm issue. HPS is not obnoxious but definitely louder then SLP and SLP gets close to the side panels so I can see where that is an issue too. Diamond S quiet can is another option but more money.

So you would suggest the SLP over the HPS ?What did you have to do to get your RPMs backup? I am really want something that I don't have to mess with.

The slp is definitely quieter, the slp pipe set is definitely an improvement in power. I'd have to say the ggb trail can and the hps are on the same noise level just a different tone. Can only i would buy the hps can, but after riding an slp piped axys i would be hard pressed not to buy that setup for my next rig.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Aa-W5KuQdJY

Wow, nice. Usually you can't tell how steep a slope is in video but that looks accurate, can't believe that thing kept wanting to go up.
SLP is the only brand for me when it comes to exhaust. It's a nice sound when on the throttle and it's nice that they are EPA compliant, too. My cousins with their MBRP cans and a few others I ride with with Jawz cans burned me for life years ago. Now whenever I hear a loud can I think, "f'n teenagers". Maybe that's just my old age talking, I'll be 32 in 2 days.
I'd maybe try an Ultra Q too, actually, but it's a titch more than SLP.
I have an SLP pipe/can set ordered.

I did a complete clutch balance, adjustable weights, different spring in the primary and secondary, and helix. I'm sure all that wasn't necassry just to address the RPM issue but I wanted to try a balanced clutch and I am very happy with the performance. It wasn't cheap but IMO worth the money. It still took two rides and two phone calls to get it right. SLP is the complete pipe set with Carls clutch kit using 2 gram heavier belly buster weights. Ran great from the first ride. HPS cans don't cause issues for everyone some experience the bog and some don't. So far I haven't heard of the bog issue with SLP. So I guess I would vote SLP if you don't want to take a chance on the bog plus I like quiet.
