Hows this for bad luck.

We were riding Fairview Sat. and one of our buddies had the worst luck I've seen in a while. It started with a pretty hard smack on a rock over the bars he goes. about 100 ft. later into another rock, bents the right side front suspension pretty bad. Get him out and he makes it 30 to 50 ft and rips the ski completely off one a arm and twists the other and bends his fox float. we get him out and he is going to ride it back on one ski, he makes it most of the way back and finds another rock with the ski-less side and crushes the tunnel. The sled is now one hammerd piece of Aluminum and plastic. I feel for the guy. Bythe way the snow up Fairview is nothing but powder and the land mines are all over he place. I won't be back up there, until there is at least another couple of feet and a good base too.

That sucks. Sounds like my kind of luck. Although we did an awesome day up Farmington. Not one rock or stump for the entire group all day.
Hope your friend had insurance.

Thanks for the heads-up on the snow conditions in fareview. I won't be trecking up there.

Monte Cristo was alright down lower, but 3 out of 4 of us tapped rocks on saturday.

Sometimes the best thing to do if your day starts out like that is turn around and go home. There was nothing but powder up at Lookout Pass this weekend also....

I agree about going home, we were headed back when he smashed the last rock. The one that finished off the sled. The previous three land mines took out just the a arms bent thr fox float and scuffed up the ski. It was like he didn't have a chance.
