just wondered if anyone will share a pict or 2 of lake ann and or gallager from 1/1/17 to 1/3/17 we will after tomarrow.
should be great vis I suspect and getting filled in too, how whooped out were roads?

I don't have any info for you, but there was a weird localized snow storm that dropped 2" at Mission Ridge on Sunday, and based on telemetry, the Salmon la Sac area only got a few inches. If I had the day off and I was heading out there, I'd start at the Blewett Sno Park and work my way east on the 9712 road until I found that 2' of blower. Mission Peak is probably incredible right now.

Went into Lake Ann Thursday, it is a wind scoured, crusted over rock garden. That is my home riding area and I have never seen that low of snow in January. The trees below Little Ann are not much better, wind scoured hard face drifts that sleds won't break through on one side and sugar fluff on back side. We even checked Scatter Creek. No better. Left out if there and played in trees above forest service road going in, and up in the trees in lower scatter creek. Best of luck, but not worth the trip in at moment. I'd hunt out tree riding somewhere else in the I90 corridor

thanks for the info but went up last wed to check(-13 deg at snowpark) since no one posted and yes just as you said rock garden, you also probably saw our tracks down into lake ann and the run up the hill 4 times to pack it for friend with pol pro problems only hit 5 rocks with new sled but trying to go as slow as possiable, made it over to gallager side and much better but still needs to dump over there this week, hope the base starts adding up soon. I posted picts on mid week ride last page, hope this helps others too.

we need pics

ok here is pict's when everyone was staying in the house to stay warm -13 deg salmon lasac snow park 0730 the old guys braved the weather (and 2 kids from local area) 1/4/17 and like I said rock garden wind swept boulders all the pow is blowing away need base unless you want to hit rocks, s/b some falling now hopfully. lots of hidden rocks 2 to 6 in under pow and no formation on top, go ahead drop on in follow our tracks down to lake ann.

We need snow. As of Jan 10, NRCS snowpak percentage of normal:

69% - Fish Lake (by Gallagher)
77% - Blewett
66% - Upper Wheeler (Mission Peak)
