How to tell what year Summit I have?

I bought a either a 2000 or 2001 summit 700, not too sure what year it is. The guy said it was an 01, but everything ive read about it the 01 came stock with a 144" track and he claims it is a 136".

So how do I find out what year sled it is?
And how do I know what size track I have?

Look at the MFD Date on the tunnel - If it was built in 2000 it shoud be a 2001 model. Measurement from the back of the seat to the outside edge of the rear bumper should be around 16" if it is a 144.

The best way to tell year is by the VIN.
Look at the character before the "V"
it should look something like this: 2BPS.....YV000069
the Y means it is a 2000
if there is a number there, like the number 1, then it is a 2001. 2=2002 and so on.

2000

If its a 136 and its liquid cooled it is a 2000

I can get a picture probably next week, but it sounds like its a 2000 according to the vin, correct? 2BPS15634Y000127 Thanks.

The 10th digit in any vin indicates the year. So yes, the letter y in makes this is a 2000. In 2001, the 10th digit starts at 1=2001, 2=2002 and so on up to 2010. I don't know what the code will be after 2010
