The 2 marks should line up for the correct mixture. I was skeptical (since the marks are tough to line up, so I got close (on the rich side) and every tank I'd refill both the fuel and oil and figure out my ratio and adjust accordingly until it was where I knew it should be, I still measure it every tank to be sure I'm getting enough oil to the motor.
