how to remove all the rivets with out hittling the cooler underneath

And be sure to replace them because they hold ur cooler on too

so all those rivets holding those two metal strips have to be replaced

Not all of them, just figure out which ones are holding the rear heat exchanger on

do you have to use rivets to hold the heat echanger on or cant you just you short self tappers

Use the pop rivets or they will work out and rip the cooler off

^^^ agreed, the holes are already there anyway, just use the rivets

ok... i did it last night but instead of taking all the rivets out i just took the handles and cut them flush with the tunnel and caped them with a small piece of diamond plate so atleast there is still something threre to protect the lines and then i cut the back part of the rack and ground it down flush it didnt turn out to bad.

I hear the Gen 2 Peices work good but i have not tried it. I will pull them off my 01 tonight and try it on my 03 but never had a problem with the hoses exposed.
