How to get more transfer PRO RMK??

Hi Guys, just picked up a left over 2012 PRO 155' 800. First time ever on a Polaris, doo's and yammie's all my life.

Had a chance last weekend to take it out for the first ride, and first impressions were, light and nimble!

I will be riding this sled mostly for boondocking with an occasional trip to the mountains, maybe once or twice a year if I'm lucky. One thing I did notice is that the front end is very planted for a light feeling sled and I know why. Question is, what can I do to make the sled transfer more like an assault?

I read in my manual it says to lessen the preload on the rear shock for more transfer, but i'm a hefty guy and don't want to go to soft. And there's no adjustment on the front limiter strap so thats out.

Any Tips out there to point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance!!

Some one with a picture would help more. But there's a hole to drill out for the front skid control arm at the front of the tunnel. Drops the skid down to the 'assault' position

call holz, ask for a pair of limiter straps for the polaris alpha x skid..they bolt right on and give you adjustment, also loosen rear track shock a bit, andd tighten frt track shock a bit...with the warning that doing these things will hurt its deep snow abilitys.........

Is there any particular reason there is only one limiter strap on these skids? I'm used to 2 and may go back to that. Got a few parts skids and I'm sure one of them will have a useable set of straps.

For now I want the transfer. Feel snow is a while off for me

polaris did it for weight reasons..although holz sells the alpha with just 1 as well..but mark said 2 will bolt right on.........

If I remember right you cant change the location on the Pro RMK, the rails will stab through the track.

I'm sorry but this is WRONG info. The Assault has the more aggressive upper front skid location so there is LESS transfer! The Assault owners were drilling out the LOWER front arm mount holes so that they could get the transfer that the Pro's have! The Pros have plenty of transfer! If you really think you need more (without softening up the rear shock - you know a progressive shock like the Fox Evol would work wonders for you) then going to aftermarket adjustable straps is your only option.

Have FUN!
