How to clean plastic side panels?

Hi, I did a quick search and found nothing too useful so I thought I would ask here. I have an 07 XRS with the yellow plastic side panels. They have some oil stains around the exhaust opening and a couple general dark smudges on them. Anybody have any good tips on how to clean this plastic? It's kind of bugging me.

acitone or paint thiner works realgood on the yellow non painted plastic, to get that exaust crum off. But don't use it near the hood of that thing. If I'm right it is the lightwieght on with the grafics done from the inside out. soapy water on that.

I have a XRS as well....a buddy of mine told me to use WD-40(works wicked)...cleans off anything!!!

I would stay away from the Acetone..it will melt plastic! Try this at home...take a cup full of Acetone and put an old crappy screwdriver handle in it for a few minutes...then you will know what I mean.

Try TufStuff and a soft bristle brush..some of the plastic is slightly porus and hard to clean...Honda Spray cleaner does a pretty good job also. Worse comes to worse Carb Cleaner!

my sleds aren't yellow, but castrol superclean works pretty good too.

Use one of those Magic Eraser sponges from Mr Clean. You can use simple green, super clean, 409 or whatever with it instead of just water. Then use 303 Protectant on ALL of your plastic. I don't polish the tunnel or anything, but I like to try to keep my plastic decent. 303 sheds snow like crazy too.

I got tired of cleaning my XRS yellow doors and bumper as well.....my fix in pic below(expensive but WELL worth it!).

Thanks for the tips guys. I used to use carb cleaner and it sort of worked but I tried the WD-40 tip 'cause I had it. Wow, now I have another reason to like the stuff. Works way better than carb cleaner. Worked better than the Magic Eraser/cleaner too.

Try Pledge. Don't know why, but it works wonders on the yellow plastic.

Id love mine to look like that.....YOur Sled looks wicked!!!!!!....did you paint the A-Arms yourself??? Was it that pricey to change it all over?? Post a few side pics pls!!
