How to bleed coolant with U cooler?

Just picked up a U cooler and this is my first one so I'm curious how you bleed the coolant system without a bleed screw? Tilt the machine up with engine higher then tunnel and bleed through rad cap?

Thanks

You answered your own ? Just be patient let it sit with the collant tank higher then the cooler for a day or two.

A few short rides should bleed the air to the high point vent. Just take a good mental picture of the flow path so you can plan on maximizing the flow to help the air get to the high point vent.

You can also do this in the shop ( not knowing the flow direction of that particular Yamaha I'll just throw out and example) if the flow starts by going down the clutch side and returns down the exhaust side. Start by elevating the back and keep the exhaust side high then elavating the front while keeping the exhaust side high then again elevating the back to work the air through the "W" or "M" cooler as shown in the picture and finally elevating the front again should pass most of the air back to the high point vent.

Hope this is helpful. You can do the same thing while doing a short ride on some short hills by remembering which direction to turn at the top and bottom. A couple times and you should have enough air out to not worry about it any more. check it before every ride just to confirm everything is copacetic.
