How to bleed air from the oil pump? 98 RMK 700.

I recently had my sled down to the tunnel and bulkhead. It's back together now, but I am curious as to the proper way to bleed air from the oil pump and a way to check for proper flow. Thanks.

the screw in the top of the oil pump, loosen it and when oil is coming out of it tighted it. what I do if there is alot of air in the oil lines on the motor, I made a socket that I cut a groove in so I can run the oil pump with the lever held in full open. or premix your first tank and run it.

I had a 1/2" dowel handy, plus a zip-tie. I used the clear tubing to make sure things were flowing from all holes, not just oozing out of the bleeder screw. Note that the two outer hoses push a lot less oil, these go to the crank bearings, and the high flow tubes go to the intake. Make sure if you do it this way, that the drill is turning counter-clockwise.

Cool. Thanks for the replies. I think I have the air bled out, it's crazy how little oil the pump actually puts out even with the lever pulled all the way up.

Yeah, sorry that I didn't mention that. On the last photo you can see that I am holding the oil lever WO with my pinky while I was spinning the pump with the drill. I think at idle, it would have taken forever to even get that much oil out. Granted, my cordless drill doesn't spin too fast, but easier to deal with than a corded drill which would spin faster.
