How to align the Aribox?

Hi.
First off: I got a 07 RMK D7.
And I noticed that my air box is not completely in place, leaving a little gap between the injector houses and the rubber sealing.
Is there a "smart" way to ensure that the box aligns properly and eliminate any possibilities of false air getting in the injector's?
Thanks
R

I pull the trottle bodies back as I'm inserting the airbox and works pretty consistantly.

Hey guys,
I don't know if your air box is the same as my 08 700, but the bottom part of my air box comes off, and you can put just the bottom of the box on the carbs or air intake, and then just push the box down and it just slides in some groves and clips in.

Your 07 should look he same as this 08. There is a plastic dart fastener that holds the 2 pieces together where you see the pick tool. When pulling the air box, I just shear off the dart and take out the top 1/2 first. You can get the darts at Napa or similar and they push in with your thumb. Good luck. EW

The dart was here before shearing it with a scraper

Thanks man, I'll head out right now and test this

This looks fairly different than my '10, but I think is just one of those things that just needs some practice. Find a method, then perfect it.

I guess i'm just used to fighting these kind of things all the time. Use mirrors etc to verify everything is butted up correctly.

The pics are different than a '10, they are from the 07-08 models. Yours is prolly one piece. I think your right about finding a method and perfecting it. I've taken several off (Boost) but they never find their way back to the sled so I can't help ya there. Maybe thats a good case for an intercooler. lol. Good luck. EW
