How to adjust the APV's on my 04 900....

Hey fellas how do you go about checking the cable length in your APV's. My old KK had a big bore and the guilotines were removed. Never done it before firgure it is time. :face-icon-small-hap

You have to remove the guillotines to get to the end of the cable. From the end of the cable sheath, where the wire sticks out, to the inside edge of the ball should be approximately 1 1/2". I'm sure someone else can tell you the metric measurement....I didn't have a micrometer, so that was the conversion...
Hope that helps.

I have a 2005 king cat. Looking at owners manual right now. The cable length should be 3.85 CM. Which is also=38.5MM. Length is from edge of cable housing to edge of steel ball. Be certain to remove slack when measuring. :face-icon-small-win:face-icon-small-win

You take the cover off the servo, use a little screw driver and slide the retaining clip off the cables, pull the cables down and bring them up around and slide the cables and lugs out of the servo drum. Keep track of where each one went. Pull the cables and make sure everything is moving freely. Measure from the exposed cable, 1.51". 8mm and 10 mm wrenches are needed to adjust the cable. The owners manual for the 04 shows 1.68" but that was changed. I think they wrote the manual before they made the sled!
