Was cleaning up my goggles and helmet this afternoon and got to wondering, how long do you guys usually run the same set of goggles?

Yup, I'm this bored...:eek:

:beer;:beer;

I try to start the season with two fresh pair. So if I need to rotate during the day I have a pair...or two waiting.

I wear mine for a few years. Just buy replacement lenses whe they get boogered up. My 509s have 4 lenses so they should last quite a while

I have 3-4 with me all the time. Not only for me but others riding with me. it never fails, there is always one trip when someone cant see, there iced up and dont have another pair with them.

I usually buy a new pair each year and throw out the worst one. Eric

I put one year on my first pair I got when I started sledding, and then got a new pair for last season. Just got to looking at last years pair and they look a little scratched up, guess I wouldn't be totally nuts to get a new pair if I decide these should be retired from weekly use.

May run em for a little while longer, but probably not all season.

Thanks for the input:beer;:beer;

I have several pair while riding...as well as extra colored/clear lens.

OT

x 2. same with gloves. usually when the ice starts up it makes the rest of the ride miserable. throw on a new pair of gloves and gogs and your good to go.

I have two goggles that i carry. I wear one, and keep the spare in my pack. I have Oakley's with the interchangeable lenses. So, I have two goggles with three lenses. Clear, Amber & Blue. :)

I buy new lenses about every other year..

It's always a great idea to carry a spare. Nothing better than having a fresh pair after you drop one in the snow. Pick up a hard case and a few spare lenses and you should be set for atleast afew years. Lenses and straps always wear out first. So buy replacement parts. $15 for a lens and $15 for a new strap and it's like having a new set for $30!

Here's a glance at the '09 509s...

I still carry last years goggles as backups and did use them a couple times, but they are in my pack the rest of the time. I got the light sensitive ones last year and I really like them, they look virtually black from the outside on the bright days and just right for me as I use them, like wearing my regular sunglasses or darker, just how I like it:D

RMKING, are any of your goggles light sensitive?

I have six pair.
1. to match nytro
1. to match rmk
1. to match snowboard... and back-up for each.
I buy 3 new pair each year and rotate the back-up's:eek:

I usually buy a new pair every year and put the "old" pair in the sled for a spare.

No not yet. Working on that and polarized for next season.

But we have 11 lens color options

cool, I think I'm probably good for at least part of this year on my current ones, but I'll keep an eye out on your website when I do look for some new ones.

Thanks:cool:
