How much weight?? 8,000 to 10,000

Have a xf 1100 turbo with the td tunes going to run the race tune, primary spring 140-330 and dalton 4 w weights, and d and d belt. with 8" sly dogs. sled should be around 215 to 220 hp at that elevation. the weights are adjustable from 83 to 91.5 grams. Just wondering how much weight ill need out there? thanks!

I haven't used the weights you have, but I think you would be pretty close to start about 88grams. I would also find out what rpm the TD tune makes best power at.

Off course, they test there all the time.:face-icon-small-win

I don't think you will pull over 86 grams at that elevation. This will put you in the 8050 rpm range with stock gearing.

I would not run my engine at that high of rpm?? 8700 is almost 1000 rpm higher than most are running.

Just my 2cents

Usable rpm....

Lots of dyno graphs out there and there is nothing to be gained past 8100, if that, for power at elevation. At lower elevation spinning the motor faster will get you more boost....but at elevation with the stock turbo maxed out for air, more rpm wont get you anything.

It's like a whole different world at elevation. Testing and tuning there is the only way to know how something works.

I'm running td race tune at 2000'- 5000', best power on the race tune is 7900-8000 rmp. I'm running 91g mds - 100/275 primary, 36/42 secondary.
