How much snow is enough to ride?

Here in the semi-great state of minnesota there's yahoo's that will ride on frost.

Pretty much. The flippen groomer was out on the trails the other day! WTF we only got 6 inches of snow. There were people all over ridding.

I got a few wierd looks flying up my road in the middle of august one time.

The USFS says it must be at least a foot. I would ride roads on that. I usually don't even bother till I can't see the 3' rocks anymore and then I am still careful. Don't get crazy till January. There are just too many landmines around to hurt myself or my sled. I HATE spending money to replace stuff that got broken instead of using that cash to mod it!

Well, 4 me it usually depends on how long it has been since I last rode and my over all attiude. I have ridden on what I like to call snirt a mixture of snow and dirt here in the piss poor snow fall belt. I prefer the "deeper the better" but I take what I can get! Hifax are cheap!

So where is it kept? i'd be happy to break it in for you and ride it once a week or more. I could even send you videos and pictures....Elko? I can get there no problem... Thanks in advance...

haha im just kidding. but the weather is like saudi arabia up here when by now thers usually 3 feet in the mountains.

After the THIRD good storm ! First one is base, second usually fills in the potholes and third one lets you ride. These must be real storms,1-2 feet plus !Road rides ALWAYS lead to a quick trip across that clean/smooth meadow with the 2 foot 8 inch rock right in the middle of 3 feet of fresh powder !
