How much does this Nytro weigh?

Looking at a nice T Nytro. It has the MCX 270HP kit, Skinz front end with Raptors, Kmod skid with Fox shocks. 162 CE track I think(sure of the length, not positive of the style). What do you think this sled weighs? Owner put no real light weight parts on other than what is listed?

If it's a stienway about +630 RTR i am guessing. the sled that is.:face-icon-small-coo
It depends on the year of the sled. If its an 08 it would be a little heavier then a newer sled.

A couple of ex. Skinz Nytro Black, 153", n/a, 580lbs RTR. SnoWest project sled Nytro Glycerine, 162", SC, ~575lbs RTR.
So it's possible, and remember, weight is one thing, you also change the sleds balance and handling with diffrent steeringpost, skid and a-arms.

It does take quite a bit of money to make them lighter. You end up taking every unnecessary part off the sled. Remove the headlight, radiator and fan and replace them with lighter components, replace the seat with a skinz or Boss. Not sure if the aftermarket oil tanks are lighter then OEM. I know they are stronger no doubt. Run different bars and riser. Gut the bulky OEM controls on the handlebars. Run lighter exhaust components. then the really expensive parts like titanium sub frames and lighter tunnel & running boards.
The cheapest thing to do is to go buy a 2-stroke if weight is your biggest concern. The skinz front end and Kmod skid should have changed the balance of the sled drastically and you should not feel the weight as much as you would in stock form that is for sure. good luck

Pretty sure it doesn't weigh enough to keep the ski's on the ground....just saying! :face-icon-small-ton

We ride in different conditions out her. Mt Baker/Whistler style riding is much more open and with the suspension this sled has I am not even concerned about it. Other areas that are really close to my house are much tighter, trees from the truck kinda riding. I have seen Chris Brown ride a similar sled in tight trees but I can't even carry his helmet. Just wondering if I could build a sled that would work in both areas without breaking the bank. What is a good hood/headlight delete set up for the nytro? Is there any other low hanging fruit as far as weight loss that hasn't been done besides the seat and hood? Again, thanks for all the serious answers and help.

Not to be a smart azz but if you are so worried about being able to handle the weight....you really should consider how in the world you are going to be able to hang on to the horsepower. I have been riding fairly low (10lbs) boost for 3 plus years on an Apex and I think the horsepower wears me out every bit as much if not more...than the weight of the sled. That is my serious comment.

Most of if not all the smart azz comments are coming from people that are tired of having this conversation about the nytro which all end with the same conclusion if weight is an issue don't buy a nytro. Skinz airframe hood not only looks good but provides the ultimate in cooling for the nytro. BRTech makes like weight hoods for all the major sleds. CR racing in Canada has a lot of cool lightweight parts for the nytro.
Unfortunately the nytro platform is not the platform to use if cost is an issue. there is no such thing as cheap weight loss for the nytro. there was a build over on TY where the guy made swiss cheese out of the aluminum bulkhead and anything else you could drill a hole in and after he was done he only lost a few pounds of weight. The major weight loss items all cost major amounts of money for the nytro. the headlight is only 1-2 pounds at the most. skinz hoods and seats are over $400 -12 lbs. tunnels are $2000-$4000 for -12 lbs Diamond S titanium subframe is over $3000. for - 6 lbs. Light weight batteries is another way to loose a few pounds but you have to watch which battery you go with because they are not all created equal.

RIDE LOTS!!!!! thats how chris brown rips his nytro . Think 7000 km in a year ? . the skinz front end is amazing though and helps lots . they are heavy sleds that are lots of work to through around and take skill to ride . Like guys have said here , set up the sled to handle the way you want and you wont be worried about the weight for the most part . a stock hood with a mountain fit vent will drop s few pounds and let you drop the head light . The specs on the sled youre looking at are very nice ! A no BS build by the looks of it . Better off to get in a full weekend every weekend then be 10 pounds lighter than stock and drinking beer on a broken sled :face-icon-small-ton

I have to agree. I run the big supercharger and my arms hurt from hanging onto the bars to keep me from flying off the back long before I am wore out from turning.

Skid is easy 35lbs loss, seat and exhaust is another easy and not so expensive weight loss. Battery and then correct me if I am wrong but then it gets expensive.

My non boosted Nytro has been gutted to 540 RTR and is a riot to ride but it gets pricey to get there.
