VE's

I am on my second VE. Had a 03 and now have a 04 800 with a fully rebuilt motor, all the slp goodies and VF reeds, I love it. Runs hard, just need to get rid of the sidehiller skis because they don't side hill for shi$. Great sled for the price.

Do the Gripper ski's. I did and love them. I rode the same sled with simmons gen I and they were better on the trail but not even close to as good as the grippers in the powder!

Gonna be a big improvement over your current ride, better suspension overall. Get the Powder Pro's, way better than Simmons IMHO. I only had a 600, but was very happy with it. I still regret ever selling that thing. :(

They're great sleds when set up properly. The VE's that are single piped, ported by SLP, w/bored carbs are still running stronger than any of the 2010 800's out of the box. Last Friday in the Rubies there was a 2004 VE giving a 2010 M8 a pretty solid but kicking climbing in the powder. Alot of folks are almost giving them away for some reason. I've been running a VE since 2003 and can't find any reason to change.

Luv my '04 159......5,500 miles......SLP single, V-force, ported. Simmons, electric start, etc.

At 5,200 miles, broke an exhaust valve/piston/cylinder.

Replaced the crank at the same time, run-out was getting toward the max......Running stronger than ever now...

the great nw
I have a '04 escape with a Carl's 910 and an '03 escape with a can. Love both of them. The big boars go really good and have gripper ski's on both. They are really good sleds!

get them set up right with tall bars and tall seat and they will give many of the new sleds a run for their money :face-icon-small-hap
if you end up getting it do some research on here and you can find all the little tricks that make them shine
good luck
