How much boost with stock Nytro Motor(MCX)

I am wondering how much boost one can run at 6500 feet running 08 Nytro MCX Turbo.
When Do you have to start thinking rods?
Pump premium boost max?
Av Gas boost max?

Head shim or no head shim ?

18 lbs w head shim on 100% 100LL AV gas, thats what ive been runing mine at this season and all is well.

IMO, its time for rods over 18lbs, but like i said that my opinion.

Yes it has a MCX head shim.

Darko correct me if im wrong, but I think at 18 should be around 280-290ish. I could be wrong though. Thaught they were claiming 230 at 10 lbs. If all is true about 10hp per lb of boost that would put it at 300+

Are you guys adding a boost manual controller and leaving the electronic one in?? I have tried twice with about 4 turns in on the rod and It still pulls 12lbs everytime....I imagine it has to do with the electronic contoller right??

My MCX electronic boost controller has worked properly once since I got the sled. I am switching to a Hallman Elvolution RX manual boost controller. When it worked properly it was 12psi at 2500 feet and 14psi at 6500 feet.

10 hps per 1 lbs boost

It closer to 7.5 than it is to 10 on their site mcx say 245@13 lbs boost and 260 @ 15 lbs boost, so 18 lbs would be 280ish
