I took my new build for it's first ride today . How much boost should i see with the MCX 240 with the head shim installed at 2200 feet ? The sled is a nytro. what should the max rpm be ?

so to adjust the rod do you just take the one end off and loosen the locknut and turn the one end?

Is it normal to have to adjust a brand new MCX 240 ? I think i am above 13 psi here at 2200 feet , how accurate is an auto meter boost gauge?

Turning your rod won't do anything because you run the auto dealio. Those kits are set to roughly 14 psi at sea level. You should see that at 2200 feet. Conditions will change that a little. Mitt, did you zero your guage at home ? Those boost gauges are not perfect but should be close for sure. Wait to you take her to Revy and we will fine tune her.

I would turn your COs down to -10 as well. You should also snorkel your intake for the deep Revy pow pow.

As you go up in altitude the boost will slowly increase to 15-16lbs. Yes shortening your wastegate will increase your baseline boost. Approx 1 turn per 1lb boost. Make sure to not increase it too much. My guess is it is set fine and you are seeing lower numbers because of the compensation. Also, yes, those gauges suck. Hard to beat the mcx display for getting accurate numbers and datalogging.

Tuesday is spot on, both regarding values and reading on an analog gauge.
