how much boost? Proclimb M800 with EBC

I just finished putting together my boondocker turbo kit on my 2012 Proclimb M800. I have a 3-Degree timing key, Fuel booster, and EBC.
I will be running Pump Gas.

My question is How much boost should I set the EBC to?
I live in Saskatoon Saskatchewan where our Elevation is about 1650 feet
i will mostly be Riding in Revelstoke BC.

should I set the boost to like 4 or 5 pounds for saskatoon and then it will compensate when i head to BC? or what should i set it to and how much boost will be safe and work good?

Agree with the 6 psi number ...

Here is my take on this:

Tune it WITHOUT the timing key first. Did you buy their 'race gas' kit or their 'pump gas' kit? I'm assuming 'pump gas' ... and you have BD's pump gas clutching recommendations as well?

At any rate, I have an 09' motor with a '10 head that I run a %20 race gas mix on at high altitude @ 8.5 psi of boost, but you need to think about this in terms of absolute manifold pressure .... for me, that is around 18-19 psia ... figure 9-10 psia ambient 9-11k or so then I typically run 8.5-9 psig of boost as controlled by the EBC.

For you, your ambient pressure will be something right around 14 psia. So to get to the same level of boost, 5-6 psi on %20 race gas would suffice for you.

I did try the 3* timing key on this same setup last year and I found that while I did't detonate with it, at "pump gas" manifold pressure levels 3* was way too much ... I wish BD would come up with an adjustable timing key you could adjust from like 0.5-3* because its hard to know exactly which one is right for your setup ... At any rate, after experimenting with the key for a couple rides I decided to just do the %20 rg mix because the sled ran a lot better with that through the entire power band .... ran it that way the whole last season and it worked great.

My $0.02.
