How Many Of You Run Camo Plast X 2.5?

Robbie,

Good to hear..

What changed your mind from our last phone conversation?

This will give a bit more clearance for the 2.5'r on the Pro Chassis.

Are the 2.86" pitch, 7 tooth drivers available in the new style drivers.... It think they would roll more smoothly and not require the track to be fully clipped... IMO.

Yup, what ever you want. I buys you another .17 inches of clearance.

Robbie,

I came up with a different number

2.86" x 8 teeth = 22.88" circumference....... 7.28" diameter ... 3.64" radius (this is stock on the RMK)

2.86" x 7 teeth = 20.02" circumference....... 6.37" diameter ... 3.19" radius

I got .455" difference between the 7 tooth and 8 tooth clearance... Is my math wrong??

The 7 tooth has almost a half inch more clearance than the stock driver on the stock track?

OR>>>>

Are you talking about using the new style driver buys you .17" clearance which is equal to the thickness of the track clips because the new drivers dont ride on top of the clips??
It buys you another .17 inches of clearance.

Will be doing the Holz drop on the same sled to gain some clearance etc but keep the stock track. It worked very well for me last season. Sled went like a rocket. Floated great and no trenching issues. Have to stop somewhere with the cost of upgrades and changes and I guess this is it? Not convinced that the CEX 163 will make that big of a difference for my riding, 90% boondocking. Hope I am making the right decision?

i went from a 5.1 163 to a 174 not sure how much the length helped but it was a huge difference doing the switch. I first noticed how bad my track sucked just taking off on a 1ft of fresh on a road i was watching some front heavy 4stroke yamis take off they would only trench 2-3in and they could take off nicely as to where i was trenching and i would almost get stuck on the road.

I made the switch best thing i ever did to my sled, i cant wait to get my billet chaincase to see even bigger gains, then turbo and i will have an awsome boondocking sled

I went from a 155 stock 07 d7 to a 163 ce, works great, what a difference in traction. I was going to do a D&R but didn't have the money or time, seems to work good for me.
