Planning on a ride out of marble this sunday. Is the parking lot still a zoo on the weekends?

How was all the powder today
Rode yesterday the 17th, road was plowed and the groomer was doing the road to Lahar. Had a few clear spots of weather but not many. Had lots of St Helen powder (wet oatmeal) The parking lot was half full all day.

With the warm rain yesterday doubt it.Heading up after my meds kick in so will leave a report when get back.Got new camera but won't be pics like sister always took.She quit going and is still mad.I quit going also.So it's her BF and his son and hopefullyme.Shorts tracks 144" and powder don't mix.Got bad back so bought them a snow bunje so lets hope this isn't a stuck feast otherwise I'll be riding alone.

Not to be a dick but every 50 yrds is a bit much.Stay on the rd and poach some tracks and it's preventable in most cases.But I understand deep powder calls and hard to resist a spin in it.Any one see's a white m10 stuck with guy with stupid look on face could you maybe give me a hand.Have always had guys stop and offer to help St Helens is a group of respectable guys. Only been stuck 2 and both mishaps.Powder on the belt and cross traffic.
We have had a lack of photos lately.
so will go do the dirty deeds for my fellow riders.

Mountain untouched but a few spots
I am in shock again at the lack of mountain not being molested.
Blue skies and oatmeal around the plains but great fun. Was still deeper than pi$$ up above hill leading to lahar.That's where the real fluffy pow started.
Played on the plains by myself until the mountain called.Then went to the hill leading up to the lahar.Only a few tracks but they left the step alone. Didn't go to pine creek so don't how it was.
They did do some climbing on the backside in the big ravine on the left of lahar.Some nice tracks left there .
Other than a few more tracks we tore it up for hrs of untouched powder.
Um yes did I mention balls deep powder.Fluffy killer side hilling deep hill climbing stuff.The poor stocker got a workout.Did a big climb on that side and was nothing but powder blowing over the hood.No one else even tried.We planted the stocker a few times on some crevice jumping and not on purpose. lol Turn out on a climb and it was no stopping and before you new it it was free falling off those huge crevices
into some hard landings. Of course missed them on the hd cam.And the pics didn't load. What a bummer lost tons of the best ones.
I can't understand if everyone quit riding or what but we were basically all alone after one and the sun came out and made for one of the best rides yet.
All the good stuffs on vids.And some of the killer climbs of coarse the cam was put away.
If you get a chance better hit it tomorrow while it's still good.
The higher you got the more powder it became.
Sure wish sis was there to take the pics and vids.She's top notch video-r and has the eye for amazing shots.For some reason my cam didn't take half the pics I tried taking.These ones are sorry but all I got.
There was some machines that took the main hwy to base of mountain but didn't venture off trail.Maybe they all ended up in Pine Creek in the steep and deep where the big boys play.Missed it yesterday.
The nice Doo & Poo guy guy found me wondering aimlessly in the deep and came over and asked if I was alone up there.Told them "nope u guys are here". So they invited me to tag along until we split off.
The clown in the pumpkin suit was launching the Cat into some deep pow.His boy was launching it over some crevices by the avalaunch area.We side hilled and climbed all that for hrs.Orange clown did get a pair of handlebars in the ribs so we headed out after that.It was a killer launch and when he landed it blew out the pow like a bomb went off making him disappear.When we found him he had no wind and helmet was packed full of powder.He's got good insurance county worker so will be just fine.
We had to put the side panels back on the stocker it blew them off. LOL.
Excellent day of riding with some great deep snow. Pics don't do justice if you stepped off sled you'd just sink up to your boys.
!!!!!!!! Anybody have m series lightweight hood in washington /portland area for cheap.??? Even old busted up stripped down one will work.Any Cheap m10 parts to lighten that fat old pig up. y-pipe intake..That stock pig is so heavy just can't figure out how to ride compared to mod sled.There is no sweet spot or just haven't been able to find it with jacked up back.08-m10.Almost have totaled it a couple dozen times and only been on it twice would rather take the shinny parts off before they get ruined.Just can't move like use too.So been riding all medicated and my skill level is at a 1 right now.See surgeon in april so might have a few rides left till then.Can't hang on to the mod sled so bought this trail stocker but it weighs a ton and is gutless.Please don't flag this in wrong area or bash the pi%^ out of me.Looked in sled parts and didn't find anything.All busted up and am just trying to make a few more rides before my season ends.Trying to make it as painless as possible.I would of cut my head off long ago if it wasn't for getting out a few times seeing the mountain.The snow is the only motivation keeping me going.Between 3 clowns riding it so unbelievable it's still in one piece. Would like to keep it that way If not no biggy goes on the trail 3 mph really good just sucks in pow trying to turn !!!!!!!
Leaving lahar went up out of the hill and hit a crevice and got bucked off and of course the sled kept going down hill and I couldn't catch it.Nice big trees right in front 100 yrds down and it headed right for it.I just dropped to my kness because new it was totaled.The kid comes buzzing by and jumps off his sled to try and stop it from becoming a parts sled.Thank God it barely swiped it and then the kids sled is taking off down hill because he jumped of his while it was still going.So dad tries and ram it so it doesn't get totaled trying to save mine.The circus was in town and the clowns were putting on some good acts it was classic.
Notice all the the broken off windshields???? Clowns can't ride and the medication bottle says don't operate machinery for a
reason.
Can't ride worth a lick but until they make a law against it we'll keep trying because we had a blast. !!!

According to the snotel report it's piling up again up there. I'm trying to get up there tomorrow morning as long as my brother's truck is fixed. Anybody else plan on heading up tomorrow? It's nice to have more than one person to help you get unstuck

I wish you would have checked too. My brother wasn't able to go and the wife didn't want to go so I spent the majority of the day being pissed I was sitting at home doing nothing. If you ever need somebody to ride with just send me a PM I'm always up for riding as long as I have the time off. I don't know anybody else that rides so finding somebody to go with me is sometimes a challenge.

will do, im always able to ride, just need a days notice! yesterday was good, but im sure thursday the snow was much better, it looked like it warmed up on thursday, the snow was settled still soft but heavy..
i bet thursday was very good fluffy and deep! we should have gone then!!!!!
Well according to the snotel it starting to pile up again. What day are people planning on going up? I need somebody to ride with if I get to go up.
Its prob raining down low, also they are almost out of money for plowing and the grooming will end sunday.

It's deep up there right now and snowing when we left at 8.
Ridiculously deep wherever you went.What wasn't powder was wet underneath and you 'd just bury it up to the boards.Then was a mess getting unstuck.
Rode with some short track sleds and what a nightmare.Don't get me wrong the 162 was trenching and getting buried also.
The parking lot was wet snow but by the time you hit the mountain it was powder.Deep powder !!! But then it snowed and was a white out so we had to come down to the trees to get some depth perception.Boondocked all day and had a blast in the trees.Went to the west side or cougar and went up climbers bivouc.That was a 2 hrs stuck feast getting sleds out of the trees.Not making the side hills and smashing into them.Of course my camera was malfunctioning.
Am so bummed didn't get any pics to post of the crashes and buried sleds.
Hardly anybody up there and what tracks were there got covered.
Nothing is plowed or groomed but the snow is sooooo great well worth it.
Tomorrow is going to be killer. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't believe that big yellow thing in sky turned the ride into a slush feast.Still looked like good times at least you could see where you were going.Looks like it was warm and sunny and melted the pow.We had to go up higher to find it but looks like it's all gone now.April and still riding can't complain.Stuck feast better than a ice cube.Thanks for vids.
