Have businesss meetings in Portland thursday and friday and Mt. Saint Helens will just be in the way to get back to Lake Tapps so the sleds will have to go with me. Was just wondering how the mountain is looking for this weekend, any info would be wonderful

snotel shows 68 inches at june lake so prob enough to ride but watch out for rocks.
Rocks & bark
Trail is good but mountain snow all disappeared.Hard iced conditions on lahar.Plains getting tricky like Adams said watch out for rocks and little christmas trees. Cougar side had more snow and not iced over.
Mountain was very icy.Still better than sitting home better enjoy any chance out you can this yr.
Soft snow down low icy the higher up you got.
We got blessed and sun came out only in our area. Seriously the sun followed us.When it left it was all over.
A few times got socked in and couldn't see a thing.
Pine creek had no visibility so didn't even try. A few guys went up .
Crazy one side snow and the other all ice.Climbers bivouc had wet snow and that side good for rd riding and going through trees.
Groomer was there at 4 on thursday evening.
Not smart enough to know how to post vids but some people might not like the sound of a mod sled playing in the hard packed.

Should be getting a decent dump up there starting tonight through the weekend. I'm gonna try to get up there sunday and def going on Monday. Anybody else gonna be up on Monday looking for somebody to ride with or don't care if my brother and I tag a long shoot me a PM.
Heading up on Sunday hopefully it lightens up a little bit. Will be in a black chev with a pro and a cat. About 7:30
I'm also heading up in the morning. Hoping to get there around that time will see how fast the family gets moving in the morning. Should be a good day. Def looking forward to Monday.

lol. Well I did go up Monday and got some good pics. The snow was pretty good. Boondocking was a little challenge, the skis seemed to hookup with the underlayer making it hard at times to hold a turn. I got pitched off teh sled or had it wash out on me numerous times. I also got some gopro footage testing out the hero2. I can try to get some posted up tonight when I get home. I'm heading up tomorrow if anybody wants to join me

Buying a trail sled saturday up north just because of the ice cube.My mod sled hates the ice so buying some thing that will go better in a ft of snow.
What a sad yr for riding in deep powder.

well I didn't get to go riding today as planned. My brother bailed on me at 1030 last night
. Was really looking forward to getting up into some deep stuff. Now I have to work all weekend, and looks like the weather is gonna warm up.
