How is Grand Lake?

We are taking some friends up for the first time ever this weekend and was wondering how it is up there? How is it riding from town? We usually don't even think of riding from town but I think this trip would be easier!!!

Was great last Friday......not so sure about now. It was 45 or so for us. The trail from town was all dirt.

Was up there Sun and Mon, ICE and hot. Watch your temp gage!!! I'd go somewhere else.

A friend of mine is there this week, I think they got some new snow mon or tues.....said it was snowing and blowing hard up top. ...........so might still be decent

Thank you. We are taking the kids also so we are not looking for any boondocking or anything like that. We will just trailer up to Idleglen and ride from there.

Parked at idle today. There is still some snow up top. But is to windy to stay up there too long. I'm sitting in granby now.. looms like this storm might hit a lil more south?? Hopefully we get a half foot or so! But def don't try to ride from town. Even from idle today there is a few mud spots.

We rode Mon thru Thurs. Thurs we witnessed near white-out conditions from Lost Lake intersection on Stillwater to bottom of the trails. Don't know how much accumulation there was at the end of the day as we left Friday morning for home. The temps had cooled down too. If you can take the mud in the parking lot there's still snow to ride on up on the mountain >>>>.
