How high can they rev?

Was out today on the 2011 pro with mountain weights in at around 1500'. I don't ride much at home so i don't piss with changing weights for here. Just keep an eye on the tach. Anyway I found myself wondering how high these engines would rev before they blow to pieces. I knew a guy that claimed his 2007 700 was revved over 11000. Anyone seen any crazy r's like that.

The rev limiter is supposedly around 8600-8700. They will not go much above that. If they do it cuts fuel and try's to throw you over the bars in a hurry

You won't pop it as you will hit the rev limiter 1st and it will back off your timing not allow you to self destruct the motor. It will run like crap until you back out of the throttle however lol

Ah yes. Forgot about the old rev limiter. Do the computers store the highest rpm kind of like they do mph?

10-60s

Ran mine at home with 10-60 weights earlier this year. 1300 feet. Would top out at about 82-83. Hit 8600 coming off a jump and thats when it started cutting out. Have 70 grams in it now and runs like 7750 to7800 now.

Computer does not store max rpm like the dragons did.
