here's a novel idea.... WHAT IF, collectively, the citizens of the USA told the IRS to go Eff themselves and refused to pay taxes?? i'm talkin like 50million households or more... ya think the gubmint would come down on 'em or would they be completely overwhelmed and the system would crash???

The problem is that not everyone will do it. The same people that would keep paying their taxes were the same ones that refused to purposefully fail tests to prove a point because it would hurt their GPA or it will hurt their Standing, etc.
People that are more concerend with their social standing make me sick.

Bingo, Bingo cut off the gravy train and those rats will leave the ship faster than the starship enterprise. At every level of government if you cut off the payroll the crooks will leave for better pastures. The best thing that could happen would be to eliminate withholding and force every citizen to just send his payment, write that check, as businesses do, quarterly, and watch the system grind to a halt.
