How does one replace the rear sprocket on a 2014 timbersled?

My kit came with a 16 tooth rear. Causing me all kinds of chain issues. How does a person replace this sprocket?

It is sandwiched between two bearings and both bearing housings (by chaincase and by brake) unbolt inwards.

Curious how to get the shaft out of there to replace the sprocket.

Thanks.

The installation instructions for the double bearing upgrade kit explains how to get it out (see attached instructions for 2011-14 kits). Long story short, there are bolts on both ends of that shaft that have to come off, along with the upper chaincase sprocket, the brake rotor and some spacers. You'll also need to at least partially take loose the side tunnel piece to get the shaft all the way out of the kit.

I went through a lot of trouble on mine to install a 16-tooth rather than the stock 17 to get the kit geared up a bit. I don't know what the gearing is like on yours, but it's a pain to change that sprocket and a new one isn't cheap ($80-ish)... you might be better off keeping the 16 and figuring out the chain issues some other way.
