how do you get new pc5 maps from dynotech?

I know, sounds like a stupid question. I subscribed to the website yesterday and on the website they only list 4 pc5 maps? Not even sure what machines they are for, I couldn't open the file. Do you have to call or email them to get a map sent to you or am I missing something?:face-icon-small-dis

last time I looked, there are 2 maps for PCIII and 2 for PCV. One is for Stock engine config and the other is for SLP single pipe set. When I bought my PCV from them it came with a map loaded that was different from both of the other two. As far as I know, he doesn't update the page with as many maps as I thought he would either. And you should be able to save and open the maps on the site. Did you already load the PCV software that came with the controller?

No, I have the pc5 coming in the mail, just bought it yesterday also. A buddy of mine had all the maps on his laptop last year for the 7 and 800 dragons, 08 to 09. Not sure if he asked for them or if they were readily available off the dynotech website. I bought the controller from somewhere else.

You will be able to open the map after you load the software when you get the pcv. If you ordered it from dynotech he normally asks what setup you are running and preloads a map.

OOPS should have have read your post closer, I thought you ordered it from dynotech, if so you would have got a free year subscription to his website and had access to all the maps. I am not sure how to aquire maps from jim without a subscription but I know if you call slp they will e-mail any map they have to you.

okay, I should have seen what he charges for the pcv. Being from Canada, I found the best deal on line from Vancouver. I sent him an email, waiting for his reply. I do have a subscription with dynotech.

Ok, so once you get your PCV. Load the software. Depending on what setup you are running... Download whichever PCV map from dynotech's website is closest to your setup since you have the subscription. If you have an SLP setup, email them and they will hook you up. I ran SLP's #70-216 with my '09 Assault with the SLP single pipe set and SLP clutching. Ran best out of the ones I tried. Otherwise you will just take a map, probably the fattest one (IMO Dynotech's) and start tweaking it for your sled's setup. PCV is very user friendly and easy to modify maps and upload them to the controller.

There is alot of knowledge about PCV on this forum so if you need info, it shouldn't be too hard to find. Good luck tuning when the snow flies!
