How do I know if an 07 X-RS 08 Motor Update?

I am looking at buying an 07 X-RS. Is there any way to tell if it has the 08 Motor update? VIN #? Is there anything else I should look for on this sled? What about the cluches I know the 08's had bad cluches do the 07's with the 08 motor update have the same problem?

"07 and '08 clutches should all get the '09 Spring cap/bushing assy....about $65. '07's will also likely need new rollers, Fett bros aftermarket are a good roller and less $$ than Doo. The '07 secondary helix bushing was small and wears quickly....IMo a Team clutch is the best fix for this, but the bushing can be replaced.
You should be able to take the vin# to any dealer and they can tell you what has been done under warranty.
With clutches fixed they are a VERY strong running sled, the best of the REV's IMO.
