How Do I Hone?

What's the best way for ME to hone this jug? Can I use a spring loaded hone you chuck up in a drill?

yes you can but a cross hatch hone is the best way to go

whats the cylinder out of...if its nikasil i was told you cant hone them

My understanding is a diamond hone is the only way to do nikasil. That cylinder looks like it may need more than a honing though..If it is Nikasil, it looks like it may be flaking..Cant be sure from that picture though.
