how do i "backup" all my ipod info

how/where can i backup everything on my ipod touch? movies, music? can i put it on a pc?

(probably a dumb question but there is alot on there)

IMHO Icloud is stupid. Why would I pay to store or back up my content there. I have a computer. Sure you get 5GB of storage for free but it doesn't do anything when I have 29GB of music.

Once you plug your iPod into the computer you want to sync it with it should open to your devices information. From there you can select to backup to Icloud or the computer. You can also encrypt your backups.

True worthless w/o a back up hard drive. Or iCloud could be used quite inexspesively for either or. I have a Tb backup drive thus why I don't use iCloub....250Gb of music would major suck to lose.

Pretty sure it's free for any device if you update to current I/O it comes with it.
