How can you tell if the S module is bent?

D
I ended up hitting a rock a few weeks ago and thought I only bent up the bottom a arm. Replaced it and my skis are still offset. But when i look where the s module is riveted in, none of the rivets popped out and nothing really looks bent. But I have one shock that rubs on the front of the left upper a arm and the right shock rubs on the back of the upper a arm. And I have looked at all of my a arms none of them have cracked paint, so I think they are alright. Thanks for your help

Welcome to the new improved BRP chassis !!

Now you are in on the secret TRICK to finding a bent S module..

if the shocks are favoring front or rear and NOT centered as well as the ski tips ,, one will be further ahead thena the other..

BINGO !!!!

this is a weeekly event for we who race snox with the xp's..

Would a brace kit (Grip-n-Rip) avoid this, and just shift the damage to the A-Arms? They also sell an upper A-Arm brace kit to strengthen the upper A-arm mounts and I've been considering buying both kits...I'm of the understanding that it's cheaper to replace and A-Arm than repair any damage sustained without their brace kits. Anyone have input or suggestions before I spend the money?

The brace kits are for reinforcment for landings and whoops sections..

They are not for damage from hitting non moveable obstacles..

If you want to avoid the SAGGING and Cracking of the cast section of the S module ,,, specifially the lower arms rear mounts.. The grip/rip brace will help that substantially.

What really works for us in snowcross the best is a 1/4 '' aluminum plate mounted SKID PLATE style tieing the front lower a mounts back to the front of the bulkhead, this prevents the flexing that tears them apart..

I got to looking at it and I broke off the top part of my e module on the right side. It only holds one bolt to the s module, do I need to replace my e module too? Everything else looks fine, I think I'm going to put a new s module on it and see where I am at. Thanks for the help

Just the S module and you will be OK

replace the rivets with bolts wherever possible, you can tighten bolts..:D
you can only drill out and replace loose rivets..
