how are the etec turbos comparing

we will be riding next week with two cat turbos, a new proclimb amd another m8, not sure whos kits, but was told they are running good

with the etec i am at 7lbs boost and it feels strong, but never rode with any cat turbos lately, last time was a few years back, and the m8 was on pump fuel, it felt similar to a good running bb

looking to see what others thought

thanks

Everyone around here just figured why bother when the cats are so proven and we ride in the mountains, anytime you want to compare just come on over and we can see, but you will actual have to ride it in the backcountry.

There has been some talk of some but when your head is comparing BB to turbo's we all know your head is to far up (you get it)

I've stomped BB doo's with my piped 1000, no porting just piped and weight reduced, and the TM8 I had would stomp it on 6lbs, so to say a TM8 runs with bb, go flap it some more, I get a kick out of it, lol

so not much different than before, thanks for the posts

They run a little better, but need some testing to find what it likes best, so like before they beat the others and they run better on first time out than the previous m8, you should be scared.

well if you want a picture of you climbing the hill....give them the camera...they will have some spare time at the top waiting for ya...by the way..i hope your camera has telephoto because they will likely need it to get a pic of ya at the halfway point..

depends on the elevation, kit and clutching.
Track speed also doesn't mean anything, my piped m1000 would turn around 50mph at 10k, my TM8 would turn around 43mph and stomp the m1000 on 6lbs at 10k. Put in MDS weights and turned 51mph @6lbs and really stomp the m1000. 8lbs I think I was around 57-60mph, but like I said it doesn't mean chit unless comparing on the same sled, same day, same snow.

wow, never seen the difference you did, if a sled is running 65mph one day the next day its the same or very close, deep powder to hard pac, makes a bit of change but nothing big, at least that is what its like with the 3 inch

discussed this with a twisted turbo on a m8 while ago and he had similar results, but i dont remember his speeds, but it was fast
