I have never bought a full kit from them, but have bought a lot of my parts from them. I have a few buddies who go to Utah and ride with them every year, so i have had the pleasure of going with, being around Travis and Garr's stuff and getting a ton of help from them. They are amazing tuners and are always working on something new. I showed up with a partially home brewed kit a few years back. I was having some weird problems. When i left there, i had bought some parts but the sled was on fire...wow!

I check in with them from time to time and they are always willing to help. I am a fan! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the other turbo builders out there, i just know how good the OVS sleds consistently run for us.

Great to deal with. I bought a kit from them for my 09. They were very helpful anytime I called. After running the Pure Logic box for two years I switched to a boondocker controller. I love the stats screen and adjustment of the boondocker box.

thanks for the good comments, i too wonder about the prologic box. thats what i ran on my last kit so i am familiar with it. but are we kicking a dead horse and going to get left behind with it. or is old faithful the way to go. I understand it can pull fuel this year. a huge bounus for us boosted cat guys so mayby not so bad. I walk away from boondocker years agoe but it sounds like its working better these days. but back on point how is the lag with ovs kits, are they consistent, good to hear about good support, that is important thanks

lets keep it clean

I have a 2010 M8 OVS rg tial with a cooler running big boost and have never had any issues with the turbo at all. I have broken everything else except the ovs parts. They are putting out a very solid product.
In fact I have been so happy with OVS that I ordered 2 new stage 3's for my brother and I's new 2013 sled projects. Will be posting pics soon...... :)
Thanx Travis and Gar

Last I heard Dobeck still couldn't pull fuel on Cats, only Polaris. Would sure be nice if it could.

Not sure myself with the OVS dobec box but Attitudes box see below

GEN3 is the short term used to describe the Generation 3 Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) controller. GEN 3.2 is the same controller, but with a code version update. GEN 3.5 is a complete software and hardware update, which now allows the ability to add and subtract fuel across all vehicles. All the controllers are piggy-back EFI controllers because they do not replace the stock ECU, but rather monitor the signals to the injectors and make fuel adjustments based on the mode settings. Each controller has a push button interface allowing access up to six different modes to allow for quick fine-tuning by the end user without needing a computer.

KEY SIMILAR FEATURES:

  • USES LOAD BASED TECHNOLOGY WHICH ALLOWS FOR TUNING IN EVERY GEAR
  • ABILITY TO ADD FUEL WITHOUT ALTERING THE STOCK FUEL MAP
  • CARBERATOR TUNING LOGIC – CRUISE, ACCELERATION, FULL THROTTLE ZONES
  • EASY TO SEE LED LIGHTS TO INDICATE OPERATING ZONE
  • PUSH BUTTON INTERFACE TO ALLOW QUICK FINE TUNING
  • EASY INSTALLATION
KEY DIFFERENCES:

  • THE GEN 3 CONTROLLER ADDS FUEL BY OFFSETTING THE PULSE WIDTH A GIVEN FIXED VALUE.
i.e. – you add 1 ms of pulse width
  • THE GEN 3.2 CONTROLLER CAN BOTH ADD FUEL BY OFFSETTING THE PULSE WIDTH OR ADD FUEL BY CALCULATING A PERCENTAGE OF THE STOCK INJECTOR PULSE WIDTH.
i.e. – you add 10% more pulse width
  • THE GEN 3.5 CONTROLLER CAN ADD OR SUBTRACT FUEL BY CALCULATING A PERCENTAGE OF THE STOCK INJECTOR PULSE WIDTH.
    i.e. – you can subtract 10% fuel

shoot it is the attitude that i am familiar with, i thought they were all the same box, different name, i better look into pure logic

I don't think that Attitude or anyone else offers a Gen 3.5 for Cats yet, but I could be wrong.

I have a 2011 M8 with an OVS propane kit, which is a tial setup. It has significantly less lag than any other 2T turbo I've owned and the components are just as pretty as CPC and Twisted stuff. Best of all, if I have a question Garr answers his phone.

I would put money on the fact that Garr and Trav (OVS) have the most combined experience of anyone in the two-stroke turbo world easily....

These guys build awesome stuff and are great to deal with and always great to hang out with! Salt of the earth guys...

I'm mean seriously....they figured out how to run a 2 smoker on Propane with a Turbo and it lives!!!! After so many tried and failed these guys pulled it off with style!!!Thats insane!!!!Enough said!!!!

Over the summer i had the chance to purchase a kit from OVS and it was a Good experience.. Travis and Garr both seem very knowledgeble and got me in the direction i wanted to go.. I would reccommend them in a second..
Ask around, you will be surprised how many people speak highly of their product.. I did alot of research before my purchase..

Thanks OVS

Jim

OVS is the real Deal. I was having a few problems with my M7 Turbo and after talking with Travis I decided to let them have there way with it. They did all the research and were able to totaly convert my sled to DC power from the AC stock set up. I had them add there fueling set up and a PL box and it could not run any better than it does now. Bottom line, I would reccomend them to anyone and feel good about it. I can't say that about all the turbo builder in UT.

They cant pull fuel on polaris either. Dobeck is old and out of date now, just buy Boost it or Bd controller instead of scratching you head all the time..:p Or maybe take a look at the new Pc5 Pti.

Been pulling fuel with our Dobeck boxes for 3 years on the Pro,

And pulling fuel with our Arctic cat dobeck boxes also.

Same story for me, great performance and lack of lag with my OVS Tial RG setup. Doing the propane conversion this December here and adding the intercooler as well. Pretty happy with my decision to go with OVS. Each kit has their plus' and minus'. Very reliable setup that runs strong and easy to tune, a little noisy with the side dump if you don't go with the quiet muffler. Wanted to add the quiet muffler and they made it sound like I'd have to send the Turbo in so I think I'll just bring it to Linderman to fab up a tunnel dump when I'm done installing everything else.

About the only place I ran out of room to pull fuel was at idle setting, everywhere else seems like I can lean it out plenty in regards to the factory fuel map? How can you really tell if your adding or pulling fuel if you didn't design the map? I believe I'm pulling fuel because I can go leaner then factory before boost therefor lights 3 and up (example) add fuel, and 3 and down lean out the factory setting if the basepoint was designed say cruise on 3 and high on 4.... Everything I've been tuning in relation to this has been following this theory from off throttle performance to chopping the throttle on downhill runs and leaning it out so it doesn't bog when powder carving??? I can stuff the pipe of this bad boy way under the snow and it still doesn't bog the slightest. Has to be some pretty heavy, deep, and wet snow to give me the slightest resistance in late spring. Still have yet to stall it out as a result though.

Good work OVS!
