Richards IV with two counts of second-degree rape, charges punishable by a minimum of 20 years in prison, but later that year, his office entered a plea bargain with Richards in which Richards pleaded guilty to one count of fourth-degree rape and was sentenced by Judge Jan Jurden to eight years' probation.

About a week and a half after Beau Biden's admittance to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the politician tragically died on May 30, 2015, due to brain cancer. Initially, when Beau was admitted, it was said that he was suffering from an undisclosed illness.
I guess you could say Beau's fate was set when he decided to step out of the family business to become a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney Office.
