I’ve watched tariffs control trade since I first got involved in spud and grain shipments overseas in late 90’s. They are constantly in play, just not always publicly displayed as boldly as trump has played them.

Nor are the full effect of pesticides in American grown crops in the end result known.

But I do know that 2 out of 3 friends in one family in southeastern Idaho (from the 80's) had to exit the fumigation applicator gig because of toxic effects.

Not sure I follow. We do soil and petiole tests weekly on toxicity residues. My father and my son in law as well as myself are our primary applicators.
Fumigation toxicity is very short lived.

Tariffs and potentially toxic effects of poison not handled properly are totally different things.

And I should add that 4 out of 4 great friends in a nearby family are still doing the same applicator gig throughout SE Idaho since the 90's too.

I like the people I know and want them to live good and long lives.

Sorry about the derailment, but I'm happy to see that the threat of Tariffs are an effective negotiating point.
