House Bill 191 - Dog Owners Beware!!!

This bill was killed yesterday in subcommittee.
I'm on the fence with certain breeds vs owner responsibility.
I think there is an element to the nature of certain breeds, but I believe the balance tips in the favor of nuture.
On one hand we have a red Heeler who is as nice and cool as our female lab. doesn't bark at cars or people who come in the yard at ALL. He looks mean, but he is awesome.
He will however take after other dogs that come near the fence. But NOT people.
We don't rough house with him and treat him just like our Lab. He'll be two in March. He is my wife's favorite dog out of the 3. The other two are labs, male chocolate is 10 months and the black female is 8 years.

You only hear about the large dogs that bite because they are powerful and inflict major damage. What about the thousands of bites caused by little yapper dogs that just break the skin??? In my experience the little dogs all have little di(k syndrome and bite at a moments notice. Yea sure some dog breeds can be raised by their owners to be more agressive than they should be. ****in idiots. So ban the dogs because the owner is irresponsible, reall good thinking. Maybe we should ban spoons and forks in the city Rosie O'Donell lives in, she might loose 500 pounds!!!!!
Oh and by the way it just came to me.....banning a breed based on a few bad apples kinda has the ovetones of "Racial profiling" in the human world. Guess we need to ban muslims off from aircraft, african americans from stores and banks, and hispanics from the welfare offices........
I kinda agree with this bill.
I had my dogs attacked by a neighbors pit bull that tore down his door to get to them so I have no sympathy for pit bull owners.
Most pit bull owners I have seen are little gang banger want a bees and white trash trailer park types.
I think all pit bulls should be killed the second they stray off a leash or out of the owners yard. I now keep multiple shotguns loaded by my doors for the next time it happens to me.
The non-working "ethnic" neighbor has four right now but next time he will have ZERO dogs.
Friggen POS dog almost ruined my 5 years of training and raising my retriever .
Those of you who say it's the owner are full of crap. My dog retrieves, period. If you shoot it he brings it back that is what he is bred to do.

i have a choc lab and a pitbull, the choc lab pushes the pitbull around and runs chit.....but when we take the pitbull to a public place, he will do his job and defend us from harm, this is his job and the reason he stays at home...my 2 pennies
and someone better bring a big gun to make me put a mozzle on him, id rather shot him dead then see him suffer....****in some peolpe make me sick
