Horrible Sound/Shaking

If I transition from flat ground to a hill or going in and out of a ditch and am heavy on the throttle, I feel and hear a horrible shaking noise. Seems to happen when the rear suspensions is compressed and sounds like the track rubbing something in the front of the sled. Also happens when pulling a trailer through deep snow at full throttle. Loose track?

What is this and how can I fix?

If it continues then it will be your chain case gears skipping off the chain. I have had it happen but I have the s/c 300hp kit so naturally I have found the weak spots.

My bet would be the track has stretched and is ratcheting.
Depending on how many miles your seld has, the tracks stretch and need to be tightened up.
The specs & reference are in the owner's manual but I like the ol' 2-finger test.:D

Check your rear wheels on skid. I had part of one come apart and was cause the same kind of thing.

Same thing happened on the 2012 1100 I was riding. The rubber had peeled off the rear wheel. Cruising around under 4000 rpms you couldnt notice it, but if you honked on it, the thing would vibrate like a son of a bitch and make an awful noise. Sounds like you have the same thing going on...

Check secondary

If you break a screw on the back of the secondary that hold helix in it will make a bad vibration.

2 finger test? Please explain.

in the middle of the rails there should be about that much gap between the slides and the clips (with the track in the air)

the other situation starts with a couple of drinks.....:face-icon-small-sho
