honda generator info? eu2000i

Ya. My dad has one, we take it up all the time when we camp and ride. Runs lights, heater. I think you cant run the coffee pot and the microwave at the same time, but it has been great!!

I have one for our camper, the guy at the rv dealership tried selling us one of the big diesels and told us that little Eu2000 wouldn't run the A/C, BS, went down to Las Vegas and it ran everything, fine. Spent a long night in a blizzard and had that poor little thing running almost all night, ran all the lights, heater, fridge, and water pump great! Best frick'n generator made as far as I'm concerned!

Eu 2000 won't run mine or my hunting partners AC's, don't burn it up.

I'e had mine a few years and at high altitude (which I always am) it will barely run the microwave through the converter. Meaning the converter is pulling amps to charge the batteries.

It will charge batts, and run lights, and run furnace.

I probably need to put in a high altitude kit. Has anyone done that?

I love it though, man is it quiet and I've gotten 10 hours on a tank of gas at 9500' just running furnace and lights.

Will not run my 10,000 btu AC period.

got one and it would not run the microwave and ac at the same time. Ended up buying a second with the paralell kit.

Most little heaters are 1500 watts. The Honda is 2000 watts, should be ok. Look at the watts on the heater. If it only give amps, amps*volts(120)=watts.

I have the 3000 version. Runs AC at low elevation fine. Above 8000 feet, it struggles and overloads sometimes. My AC is on a 20 amp breaker, which should max at 2400 watts in theory.

If you can afford them, look at Olympian heaters. They are ventless, run on Propane, handle high altitude fine, and use no electricity. I would still crack a window or something just in case with any propane heater. I tried a Mr. Buddy heater and it wouldn't work at 8000 feet and up.

The 2K won't run my AC either. I have an olympian wave 8 in a 29 foot fifth wheel and it works great until the temp gets below zero. Then I have to run the forced air and the olumpian to hold 60 degrees in there.

More than likely the 2K will be fine for your electric heater though. Just depends on what else is running at the same time.

It depends on the A/C system, and the camper. Our A/C systems efficient and the insulation will really help, good generator, quiet, and it will cut the throttle down for the load if you want. What kind of camper is it?
